More happy tidings for the fans of Ajith from their star!

At a time when the first single of ‘Mankatha’ will hit the stores today evening comes a word from the man who heads the show himself – ‘Thala’ a.k.a. Ajith Kumar.

“I am happy to be working with Yuvan once again. The song albums of our earlier films ‘Dheena’ and ‘Billa’ were very well received. I am hoping that ‘Mankatha’ album too lives up to the expectations,” says our dear thala.

This is the second time in a row that music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja’s single song track is being released. The first was for the Simbu starrer ‘Vaanam.’

‘Mankatha’ is riding high on expectations from Ajith fans across the globe. The song goes ‘Vilayadu Mankatha…’ and was the first track in this album composed by Yuvan. We had earlier told you that the scenes in the song have been shot from a pub in Bangkok and the shooting for the song lasted four days reveal.

We had also told you that the song has been crooned by the composer himself with excellent backing from Ranjith, Venkat Prabhu’s sibling and co-actor in the film Premji Amaran, Sucharitha and Anita. The song, it seems, comes in a mélange of three languages – Tamil, English and Hindi.

The hero of the film, Ajith is all praise for his director. The actor says, and we quote, “Venkat Prabhu is a very sensible and dedicated director. He is definitely one of the finest directors that I have worked with.”

So what are you waiting for? Just fetch a CD of the single ‘Vilayadu Mankatha…’ for yourself and don’t you forget to ask for the poster of ‘Thala’ clad majestically in a cop’s attire which also has his personalized autograph which comes along with the CD!
